Stella Maris College is an autonomous institution affiliated to the University of Madras. Founded on 15 August, 1947, the college prides itself on over six decades of service to the cause of higher education of women and social development. The college has always been sensitive to the needs of the disabled. It has carried out infrastructural changes to create an inclusive ambience for the disabled through a pioneering disability access audit by the Centre for Women’s Studies.This Charity Art Show is a team effort of the college through its departments of Fine Arts, Social Work and Public Relations with a view to reaching out to the disabled at large.

HeART BEAT Foundation, Chennai, is an initiative of the family of V.S.Ramana. The foundation aims to help the disabled young artists in promoting their artistic ventures by organising art exhibitions, shows and online events.The foundation organises such events with support from art galleries and corporates that are socially committed towards the disabled and lend CSR support.
